HIFIS CC Corner

HIFIS Community Coordinators develop and sustain working relationships with key stakeholders in the community that are using or are interested in using HIFIS to collect data to be used locally to guide the strategic planning process for Homelessness and to provide the federal government with shelter data exports.  In addition, HIFIS Community Coordinators promote, co-ordinate, provide training, and oversee the implementation and ongoing administration of HIFIS in shelters and service providers.

The HIFIS Initiative is committed to supporting communities with the coordination and dissemination of shelter data to maximize the effectiveness of shelters and the sustainability of the HIFIS Initiative.  With the implementation of HIFIS Community Coordinators in several key communities and provinces, this is becoming a reality.
