To register your service provider with the HIFIS initiative, follow the link and complete the form.
When you register with the HIFIS Initiative, you will receive a notice by e-mail providing your Shelter ID, User Name, and Password.
Your Shelter ID is a number unique to you. You will need this number during the Activation process when you request activation keys from the HIFIS Support Desk. This number is also how we identify your organization in any data exports we receive.
You will need your User Name and Password to update your registration information if there is a change in the information about your organization, such as a phone number or address change.
When you download the software for the first time, you will receive a demo version of the software, including a training database. In order to begin using the software for your organization, you must contact the HIFIS Support Desk in order to activate your HIFIS 3 software.

If you have a local network at your service provider, you can set up a HIFIS network, which allows you to see your HIFIS data on more than one computer.
To learn the system, we encourage you to use the training database and Training Manuals provided with the download before you activate the system. These manuals can be downloaded directly from the software by going to the Help Menu and selecting ‘Get HIFIS Documents.’ The training database will be removed when you activate your HIFIS 3 software.
